The heart-warming true love story of Robin and Diana Cavendish, a couple who refused to give up in the face of a devastating disease, marks Andy Serkis’ directorial calling card.

Our screening on Sunday 12 November at 5pm will be introduced by Annie Hall.

The film Breathe is a love story, however one with a twist. Robin Cavendish catches severe polio and this affects not only his life but also his relationship with his wife. Annie Hall who now lives in Ketton was great friends with Robin and Diana Cavendish from 1970-1976. During that time she was married to Geoffrey Webb, who was also a responaut, due to having the same severity of polio as Robin.

She is going to talk to us for a few minutes before the 5 pm film on Sunday 12th November about this time of her life, her marriage to Geoff and polio. The documentary parts that the film leaves out in the main. She will also mention what it was like to be at the Premier of this film which opened the BFI Festival at Leicester Square. Annie will bring a few artefacts and answer questions after the film. Do come and join us.
