A rare chance to see a dramatic reading of this acclaimed one-man play! Something Dark tells the story of Lemn Sissay’s upbringing in children’s homes and foster care, and the search for his family and true identity. Originally directed by John McGrath (National Theatre of Wales/MIF), Something Dark has been performed throughout the world to great critical acclaim and was adapted by BBC Radio 3 in 2005. The author of several books of poetry alongside articles, records, public art and plays, Lemn was also the official poet for the London Olympics and the 2015 FA Cup. His Landmark Poems are installed throughout Manchester and London in venues such as The Royal Festival Hall and The Olympic Park. Google ‘Lemn Sissay’ and all the returning hits will be about him. There is only one Lemn Sissay in the world!
