Tues 26 Jun, Stamford Theatre talks, dance
‘How do they do that?’ Is this something you’ve ever thought when watching a professional dancer perform? If so, we can answer that question and more for you!
Join the Co-Artistic Directors of Chantry Dance Company and West End choreographers, Rae Piper and Paul Chantry, for a fascinating look at a day in the life of a professional dancer. Learn what it takes to become a dancer, how professional dancers maintain their fitness, keep strong and flexible, how they rehearse and how they create choreography for performance.
Rae and Paul are among the UK’s finest and most experienced contemporary ballet dancers, as well as being international and West End choreographers responsible for award-winning shows including David William’s ‘Gangsta Granny’, operas, and numerous contemporary ballets. They will provide a true ‘behind the scenes’ look at what dancers do in their daily lives. An event that any aspiring dancer, or anyone involved in dance, would not want to miss!
Even if dance is not something you’ve previously had an interest in, this family-friendly talk and dance demonstration is a great way to introduce yourself to the world of dance!
