After it's postponement as part of Verse Festival 2020, Georgie Jones presents a unique performance of her one woman show, filmed in the theatre at Stamford Arts Centre and presented especially for an online audience on National Poetry Day.
Commissioned by China Plate, Warwick Arts Centre, Midlands Arts Centre, Attenborough Arts Centre and In Good Company.
Georgie Jones is 27 and has finally cracked what it means to be a woman.
Just kidding.
She’s haphazardly stumbling through adulthood trying to figure it out.
Laced with warmth and hilarity, ish is part party, part epic poem.
Spoken word, stand up and storytelling are set to a soundtrack of nostalgic 90’s bangers in celebration of the simultaneously grotesque and glorious experience that is womanhood.
