William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar

 

Shakespeare's epic tragedy, where political and military rivalries spiral out of control, is one of his most gripping plays and features some of his greatest characters.

In this powerful drama set in Ancient Rome, Brutus and Cassius, fearing the growing domination of Julius Caesar, plot his death. But when, on the ides of March, the dictator is assassinated, Mark Antony unleashes the rage of the people against the conspirators.

 

Running Time: Approximately 2 hours 25 minutes plus 20 minute interval

Age Restriction: Children under the age of 3 will not be admitted to the auditorium.

Access: There are disabled parking areas, disabled toilets and wheelchair access to row 'O' (If you require a wheelchair accessible seat then please notify at time of booking).

Hearing Impaired: There is an induction loop installed in the theatre.

Parking: There is ample free car and coach parking a moment's walk from Tolethorpe Hall and the theatre.

Group reservations can be held for your convenience whilst you are arranging your visit, but these must be confirmed by Wednesday 1 May 2019. 

Tickets may only be purchased on the day (subject to availability) from the Tolethorpe Hall box office, which opens one hour before performance. 

The auditorium is covered, meaning performances are very rarely cancelled due to bad weather.
