Lancaster tells the tale of the iconic WW2 aircraft told through the words of the last surviving crew members, re-mastered archive, and aerial footage of the last working planes in flight. At the heart of the film are the recollections of the now aging veterans who recall the events from over 75 years ago and are nothing short of incredible. The ‘Lanc’ was responsible for some of the most famous missions of the war from the Dambuster raids to the controversial bombing of Dresden with a total of 55,000 airmen, half of all Bomber Command’s aircrew, dying in the skies over Nazi occupied Europe, with an average age of just 22.
