With: Josep Abad, Anna Otin
Deservedly carrying-off the top prize at the 2022 Berlin Film Festival this irresistible Spanish drama is centred on the life of a family of peach farmers in a small village in Catalonia who are forced to cope with enormous changes when the owner of their large estate dies and his heir decides to sell the land. With their livelihood and their entire way of life threatened the family respond in surprising ways, the reality of their situation beautifully captured by a cast of non-professional actors, including local children.
"A tribute to the traditional ways of life that are changing in modern times" Dennis Schwartz
