Ensconced is a brand new collaboration between Milan-born singer & composer Brigitte Beraha and London’s guitarist & composer Ant Law.

This is Ant’s eighth album as a leader/coleader and Brigitte’s thirteenth. The volume opens and closes with well known jazz standards - A Kiss To Build A Dream On (made famous by Louis Armstrong) and Bernstein’s Some Other Time.

Contained within are warm, intimate original compositions with a focus on Brigitte’s voice and lyrics, accompanied by acoustic guitar.

The latter half of the album becomes more expansive, including a reimagining of Ant’s composition Harvest in collaboration with Greek bassist Petros Klampanis and Cuban drummer Ernesto Simpson.

Matt Calvert’s electronic wizardry features on Above Water and Who We Are, the latter of which also features a beautiful piano contribution by Kit Downes.
