Discover a world of circus and silliness in unusual places! Join in with fun activities including aerial performance sessions, circus themed arts and crafts, poetry, music, film, digital arts and more.
Most events are free! For Wildcats Theatre School and Science of Circus Show's please book a £1 ticket online or via the Box Office to ensure your place.

Circus Comes to Town – Karen Neale
Come and create a circus themed collage with paper, pencils and crayons on the walls of the Arts Centre Gallery! Karen Neale is an artist with a passion for sketching the world around us, she captures the place and time with a beautiful combination of sketches, watercolour and words.

Tremendous Tunes
Drop in to the Ballroom to have a go at music making, singing and more with the team from Lincolnshire One Venues Connecting Communities project. Fun for all the family.

Dance and Movement
With Beth from Mini Mondays!
Join us for a free taster session to launch our ‘Mini Mondays’ fun arts workshops for the under 5s. Perfect for toddlers and their parents/carers, our fun creative arts workshops are led by storytellers, musicians and artists. Organised by Rhubarb Theatre and led each week by a different local artist.

Wildcats Theatre School – Taster Workshops
Have a go at musical theatre and dance sessions with Wildcats! Pre booking is essential £1 to secure your place, Suitable for age 6+, please arrive 5 minutes before the session start time.

Bureau of Silly Ideas – Sid, Nancy and Annabel
Sid and Nancy are wheelie bins and Annabel is a flower pot...but looks can be very deceiving. Be nice to them, if you’re not, mayhem may ensue – remember street furniture has feelings too!

Circus Skills Drop-in Workshops
With Earthbound Misfits
Have a go at some brilliant circus skills as a family. It could be plate spinning, hula hoop or stilt walking. Look out for the Misfits on the High Street too!

Marvellous Making in the Marquee!
Drop in to the marquee on High Street (opposite the Library) and try your hand at making a circus themed creation with artists Nadya and Lou.

Fabulous Family Walks
With Ruth and Rachel from Stamford Sights and Secrets Tours
Fun and frolics will ensure on these historical and hysterical circus themed tours of beautiful Stamford. Join their travelling circus from the Arts Centre and discover hidden corners and activities throughout the town ending at Stamford Methodist Church, Barn Hill in time to see the Curious Cabaret. 45 mins. Spaces are limited to 30 on each of the two walks. Please book a free ticket at the box office.

Pop Up Circus Poetry

Have fun with words in this exciting writing and poetry drop in workshop with local poet, teacher and performer Darren Rawnsley.

Gossamer Thread Circus
Roll up, roll up! Gossamer Thread Circus present their family friendly Curious Cabaret featuring the world’s bendiest man, the amazing Circus in a Suitcase and more! Each show is 45 minutes long.

Science of Circus Show
With Dr Ken
Explore the science behind the thrills and spills of the circus. Dr Ken takes you on a voyage investigating how performers make use of many scientific principles in their tricks and stunts. Find out why jugglers love gravity, how clowns use the force like a Jedi and why unicyclists need to keep moving to stay still. It’s science but not as you may know it!
Please pre-book a ticket for £1 to ensure a place for this fabulous show.

The Arts Centre Cafe will be open all day for a selection of drinks, light snacks and lunches.
The Well at Stamford Methodist Church, Barn Hill is open from 10am to 3pm providing hot and cold meals, drinks and cakes.
