Experience the unmistakable sound of Blue Note Records - raw, soulful, and swinging - as UK jazz luminary Bryan Corbett leads a stunning live tribute to one of the most influential labels in music history. Following his acclaimed role as Curator & Featured Artist for the Birmingham Jazz Legends Festival, Corbett brings his passion and virtuosity to a powerful series of concerts celebrating the music of Blue Mitchell, Horace Silver, Art Blakey, Donald Byrd, and more.
Widely regarded as one of the UK’s most expressive and versatile jazz trumpeters, Bryan Corbett has performed and recorded with an impressive list of international artists, including Ben E. King, Brand New Heavies, Alicia Keys, Tony Christie, and the BBC Big Band.
A firm fixture on both the British and European jazz scenes, Corbett’s playing is noted for its emotional depth, technical brilliance, and lyrical style. His solo work has received critical acclaim, and he continues to push the boundaries of jazz while honouring its rich heritage. Corbett has performed at major festivals worldwide, including Montreux, North Sea, and Cheltenham, and regularly appears on BBC Radio 2, 3 and Jazz FM.
Blue Note Records was founded in 1939 by Alfred Lion to showcase uncompromising expressions of hot jazz and swing. It became a cultural force — a label known not only for sonic innovation, but also for championing Black artistry and social consciousness. The Blue Note Sessions pay tribute to this legacy with music that remains as urgent and timeless as ever.
