An exciting gig in the new home of Jazz at Stamford Arts Centre - the Ballroom!
We'll be retaining the raw and intimate vibes we all love from Stamford Jazz, but in a space that offers bigger and better opportunities for these increasingly popular evenings.
Much Ado About Jazz is something a bit different. It's a show aimed at people who don't necessarily like jazz, as well as those who do! An evening of jazz with Chris Gumbley (saxophones and clarinets) and Al Gurr (piano).
These hugely entertaining and talented musicians perform much-loved jazz classics and jazz interpretations of songs from shows, pop and theme tunes. Expect great melodies and dry humour, as they also ‘open up’ on how jazz musicians work.
