
Presenting an exciting program of new arrangements of classic jazz repertoire, this Quartet is led by virtuoso saxophonist Chris Gumbley fronting a band of some of the UK’s top jazz instrumentalists:

Al Gurr – Piano
James Owston – Double Bass
Andrew ‘Woody’ Wood – Drums
Chris has performed alongside The Temptations & The Four Tops, The English Chamber Orchestra, Pasadena Roof Orchestra and an abundance of his own projects. This outfit explores a wide range of jazz styles, ranging from trad to swing to bebop and beyond. Al (piano) & James (double bass) will be making their first appearance as part of the Stamford jazz program.
