Over the next 7 seasons, in the run up to the 200th anniversary of Beethoven’s death in 2027, the Doric Quartet will perform all the of Beethoven’s string quartets here in Stamford. These will be played alongside quartets by other composers, to demonstrate the development of the String Quartet as a musical genre from the Classical period to the present.
