Along with Decision To Leave our second blistering feature film from South Korea in this programme is simply a thrill-a-minute action heart-pounder set in the 1980s when tensions between various spy agencies dramatically boiled over and secret plans by North Korea were only thwarted by government agents often blasting their way out of trouble. One of the corner-stones of South Korean cinema is the crime film and this heady mix of politics and fire-power is a great way to blow away those mid-January blues. Director Lee Jung-jea is also the genius behind streaming colossus Squid Games so fans should need no introduction.
