Dir: Kasi Lemmons USA 2022 TBC
With: Naomie Ackie, Stanley Tucci
A joyous, emotional, heartbreaking celebration of the life and music of Whitney Houston, this sensitive biopic of one of the greatest female R&B pop vocalists of all time, follows her journey from obscurity to musical superstardom. Charting the highs and lows of the singer's career the film presents a no-holds-barred portrait of the complex, multi-faceted woman behind The Voice. Lead actress Naomi Ackie has the daunting task of playing the legendary vocal powerhouse along with a cast that includes Stanley Tucci as Cleve Davis, the record producer who was central to Houston's fame.
