Brought up in Birmingham amongst the Irish community in the 60’s and 70’s to an Irish mother and Caribbean father, Kit's debut novel 'My name is Leon' was an award winning international best seller. As was her second novel 'The Trick to Time', and her young adult novel 'Becoming Dinah'.
Kit founded the free digital festival the Big Book Weekend. Her memoir 'Without Warning and Only Sometimes' is released in August. Her latest publication, 'Supporting Cast', is a collection of short stories.
