Join the National Youth String Orchestra's senior ensemble at the close of this year’s summer residency in Stamford.
Founded in 1995, NYSO is one of the UK's most prestigious training orchestras for string players up to the age of 21, bringing together talented young players from across the country for residencies in the spring and summer. Players benefit from outstanding personalised coaching from a dedicated team of leading chamber orchestra musicians.
The senior ensemble’s recent performances include appearances at the Three Choirs Festival, Lake District Summer Music, MusicFest Aberystwyth and Cambridge Summer Music; the ensemble returns to perform at Snape Maltings later this week. Tonight’s programme includes wonderful music for string orchestra by Dvorák , Gipps, Mozart and Stravinsky, under Music Director Damian Iorio.
