One World Week Exhibition: Freedom - Are We Free?

This year’s One World Week Exhibition, organised by the Stamford Fairtrade Group, explores ‘Freedom – Are We Free?’

All human beings are born free and equal

Human rights to life, to liberty, to work, to education

Freedom from slavery and torture; freedom of opinion and expression

Different freedoms - freedom to speak, religion, protest, worship, sing

 *        Displays of artwork and projects  by local students and pupils

*        Exhibition of black and white photographs from the Ukraine frontline (provided by Stamford Diversity Group)**

*        Exhibition preview - Tuesday 24th October at 6pm, with music from Jay Stebb (jazz saxophonist). The Gallery Bar will be open.

*        Pint of Poetry – Wednesday, 25th October at 7.30pm   

*        Stalls promoting the work of local community groups

*        Stalls selling fairly traded products (Friday and Saturday only)

**        On 6 June (D-Day) Stamford military veteran, Jack Bon Holly, left from Browne's Hospital in a fundraised 4x4 full of stretchers made by our local Ukrainian community to volunteer with Project Konstantin, a frontline medical team. These frontline photos show the reality of life at the front - the pain, the comradery, the bravery. Some of those photographed are no longer here.
