Dir: Anthony Maras | UK, France | 2026 | 100 mins
Cast | Andrew Scott, Brendan Fraser, Kerry Condon, Chris Messina, Damian Lewis
Andrew Scott (All of Us Strangers, Fleabag) leads an all-star cast in Anthony Maras’ (Hotel Mumbai) sweeping dramatisation of the behind-the-scenes preparations for the Normandy landings from D-Day, 5 June 1944 – the largest-scale seaborne invasion ever mounted.
Scott plays meteorologist James Stagg, working in close consultation with President Dwight D. Eisenhower (Oscar winner Brendan Fraser – The Whale) to predict the weather they will face during their epic invasion. To achieve victory in a mission crucial to success in the wider war, they must get it right, but Stagg’s plan brings him into conflict with his American counterpart (Chris Messina). Oscar nominee Kerry Condon (The Banshees of Inisherin) plays Eisenhower’s private secretary and Damian Lewis (Band of Brothers, Homeland) the Commander of Allied Ground Forces.
