In 2006, Chris Hansen (Robert Pattinson) made TV history. As host of controversial true crime series To Catch a Predator, he set up sting operations devised to entrap and expose child predators on camera.

The buzzy fiction feature debut of Lance Oppenheim (You Can See Everything), Primetime is a lurid and fascinating exploration of this morally dubious terrain, with Pattinson’s capital-A performance backed by Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo and singer Phoebe Bridgers.
