Part of our Music In Quiet Places season
Richard Durrant - The Guitar Whisperer
One of the world’s most inventive, virtuoso guitarists presents a brand new show of jaw dropping beauty. Experience Richard Durrant’s world of magical realism via the English Folk Baroque, the wilds of South America and JS Bach.
Composer & concert artist Richard attended the Royal College of Music between 1981 to 1986 and is a passionate supporter of music literacy. He is celebrated in Paraguay for his playing of the music of Agustin Barrios and his lyrical, virtuosic interpretations of Bach’s works (on Guitar, Tenor Guitar & Ukulele) have received critical acclaim.
In the UK Richard has appeared live on BBC Radio 2, 3, 4 and 6 Music.
