A riveting film about how two female reporters at the New York Times in 2017 doggedly accumulated enough confessions from women who had been abused by sexually voracious movie mogul Harvey Weinstein to publish an article which in its own way opened the doors for the #MeToo movement and lead eventually to Weinstein going to jail. Like a modern-day All The Presidents Men the film powers along as the depth of Weinstein’s horrors are gradually exposed. The movie also boasts a cast of mostly woman with British talents Cary Mulligan, Samantha Morton and Tara Fitzgerald providing outstanding, and deeply emotional, performances.
