African proverb: “If you can walk you can dance, if you can talk you can sing”
Bruce Knight (pictured above) is a member of the Natural Voice Practitioners’ Network, and is a regular teacher at the Unicorn Natural Voice Camp and the annual Community Choirs Festival. He has been running acappella singing workshops in the UK and abroad for 18 years, and leads the 100-strong community choir Songlines in Warwickshire. He has a talent for enabling people of all backgrounds and abilities to sing with wild abandon, and teaches inspiring and uplifting harmony songs with humour and clarity. He is also an accomplished teacher of circle dance and enjoys bringing simple movements into his singing workshops.
Bruce will be sharing some of his very favourite harmony songs: “The day may include some African songs, perhaps a bit of gospel, a dash of pop, and some world-folk – whatever I’m currently feeling passionate about."
Be prepared to move your body and sing your heart out, and join our singing community for the day!
You don’t need to be able to read music – all of the songs are taught by ear.
Just bring energy and enthusiasm!
Feedback for Bruce's workshops:
“I don’t consider myself a singer, but with your expert teaching and infectious enthusiasm, I learnt enough to really enjoy the day.”
“Your relaxed teaching style and tremendous musical talent made the day a treat and it was a wonderful experience. Thank you.”
"Whole approach is by far the most fun I have experienced.”
“Possibly the most memorable and uplifting experience I’ve had over the last 50 years of singing”
