Ruben, a drummer in a rock band, is on tour with his lead singer girlfriend when his hearing begins to deteriorate at terrifying speed. This award-winning film perfectly captures the experience of deafness by a man trying to cling on to his previous way of life.

With deaf and hard of hearing actors in some of the roles and an Oscar winning sound design, Sound of Metal has quickly become one of the runaway hits of the year. Worth watching too for Riz Ahmed’s outstanding performance.
