Dir: Stephen Karam USA 2021 1hr 48mins
With: Richard Jenkins, Amy Shumer, Beanie Feldstein
Set inside a creepy pre-war duplex in downtown Manhattan, The Humans follows the course of an evening in which the middle-class Blake family gathers to celebrate Thanksgiving.
But as evening falls outside the crumbling apartment block, mysterious things go bump in the night and family tensions reach such a boiling point the humans caught within this unravelling nightmare gradually succumb to the darkness. Superbly acted and marvellously unexpected.
