A new 4K restoration of Coppola’s poetic, ground-breaking movie of teen angst in 1960s Oklahoma features a simply brilliant cast including Patrick Swayze, Tom Cruise, Matt Dillon and Tom Waits who were all at the start of their careers yet whose youthful intensity was brilliantly captured by one of America’s greatest directors.
Coppola lovingly contributes an 11 minute introduction, recorded exclusively for cinemas, presenting an insight into his decision to restore and extend the film into a faithful adaptation of S.E. Hinton’s original novel.
