Based on a story almost too compelling to be true, and on the award-winning, bestselling book At the Wolf’s Table by Rosella Postorino, The Tasters reconstructs the fascinating tale of the women coerced into testing Adolf Hitler’s food during World War II.

Autumn 1943. Fleeing bombed Berlin, Rosa (Elisa Schlott) seeks refuge in a small, isolated village with her in-laws, at first unaware that nearby lies Hitler’s HQ, the Wolf's Lair. One morning at dawn, she and other young women are taken, forced to act as guinea pigs for the Führer's food to ensure it is not poisoned. Trapped in a potentially deadly daily game, the tasters begin to form alliances, friendships and secret pacts…
