With: Dale Dickie, Wes Studi
At a campground in the rural West, a woman waits alone for an old flame from her past to arrive, uncertain of his intentions and bashful about her own. Played by the character actress Dale Dickey, who is no longer young or particularly beautiful anymore, the reality of her nervous hopes for something special to return to her arguably makes for the most absorbing American independent film this year. And Wes Studi, the man the woman is expecting and is probably better known to audiences playing native Americans in films like Last of the Mohicans, is categorically worth waiting for.
