This popular concert series is back for another year showcasing talented musicians, performing in some of the most beautiful and historic churches in the area.
With a quartet of musicians sharing 13 instruments between them, Chameleon’s concerts are full of energy and excitement as they perform different styles, sounds and genres. This programme features a mix of original compositions and player-arranged works, drawing on diverse instrumentations and time periods to create a dynamic, engaging concert.
From the folk-inspired orchestral melodies of Dvorák to the serene piano music of Amy Beach; the lively rhythms of Scottish folk tunes to the rich vocal harmonies of a John Bennet madrigal, the programme pairs the old with the new, the familiar with the unexpected. Each piece is reimagined through Chameleon’s distinctive sound, offering a new perspective of what a woodwind ensemble can do.
