Voted best newcomer at Marlborough Jazz in 2015, the Jeanie Barton Band performs an evening of emotive music. With Jeanie on vocals and piano, they will play many of her nostalgic yet fresh compositions alongside joyous standards. Jeanie performed for Stamford Arts Centre as part of the 2020 Live in Lockdown broadcasts, so we're delighted to welcome her back in person with her band.
Jeanie's musical journey includes highlights such as performing alongside Georgie Fame & Luddy Samms (The Drifters) as well as performing the music of James Bond in front of Shirley Bassey & Pierce Brosnan!
“Jeanie’s vocals are a touch of class with a sound that is both stylish and personal and characterized by a refreshingly English delivery…” The Sunday Times
"Really powerful, just divine!" BBC Introducing.
Jeanie will be accompanied by Midland’s based rhythm section duo Paul Gray (bass) and Ian Beestin (drums).
