A rich and rewarding animated tale, Kensuke’s Kingdom is the epic adventure of Michael, a young boy on the sailing trip of a lifetime. Adapted by Frank Cottrell-Boyce from Michael Morpurgo’s much-loved, bestselling young adult novel, it features the voices of Cillian Murphy, Sally Hawkins and Ken Watanabe.
On a family sailing trip, excitement turns to terror when a violent storm erupts and Michael and his dog, Stella, are swept overboard. Washed up on a remote island, Michael discovers they are not alone when confronted by Kensuke, a Japanese man who’s lived on the island since WWII. When poachers threaten their fragile island paradise, Michael and Kensuke must join forces to save their secret world.
