Little Snowy Hare

Snowy and her siblings are seriously busy playing. Snowy is the fastest and, while speeding away during a game of chase, she ventures a little too far.

Snowy and her siblings are seriously busy playing. Snowy is the fastest and, while speeding away during a game of chase, she ventures a little too far. When she stops, she realises her siblings are no longer following. She is lost... and alone.

Unfazed, Snowy spots some funny-looking footprints in the snow and decides to follow them. Perhaps they belong to someone who can help her find her way home? Instead, they lead her to a very large and very unhelpful reindeer, who is far more interested in chomping its dinner – and farting – than helping a small hare.

Snowy continues through the wintry wilderness, where she discovers a cave belonging to an Arctic fox and her playful cub. The cub pounces on Snowy – gulp! – but rather than eating her, he wants to play. Their game of hide-and-seek is cut short when Mama Fox returns, and Snowy must scamper away before she becomes lunch.

A final trail of enormous footprints leads Snowy onto a frozen river. When the ice cracks beneath her, she tumbles into the freezing water and discovers that she can swim. She clambers onto what appears to be a large white boulder – only to find herself face-to-face with a sleepy, hungry polar bear. Snowy must use her speed and ingenuity to defeat the lumbering bear in an exciting yet playfully slapstick chase, leaping across icebergs too small to hold him and escaping to safety.

As night falls and snow covers the landscape, Snowy feels cold, alone and very far from home. She curls up and dreams of her family while the aurora borealis dances magically above her.

When morning comes, the footprints Snowy has been following have disappeared beneath a fresh blanket of snow. Drawing on everything she has learnt during her adventure, she uses her senses and her instincts to find the way home all by herself. Instead of following someone else’s footprints, Snowy discovers the courage to make her own path through the snow.
