Following its postponement in 2020, TYD Theatre Makers are delighted to finally bring to life this classic and powerful story of a group of schoolchildren’s abandonment on a desert island, which gradually descends into a savage fight for survival.

This electrifying production with a strong ensemble cast is not to be missed.

This production is created by TYD Theatre Makers (as part of Tolethorpe Youth Drama).

Performances 11 July (7.45pm), 12 July (1.30pm & 7.45pm), 13 July (1.30pm)

The performance lasts 1 hour 25 minutes (there is NO interval)

Immersive whole day experiences for secondary school students.

An in-house day includes:

  • Pre-show workshop led by our highly skilled creative team
  • A chance to work with students from a wide range of schools
  • A chance to have lunch in the grounds of Tolethorpe Hall
  • Matinee performance tickets to our production of Lord of the Flies
  • Post-show Q&A with cast and crew
  • TYD Theatre Makers goody bag for each student including a souvenir show programme
  • Teacher’s resource pack with production notes and follow-on classroom exercises
