Stamford poets (and budding poets) perform live stand-up poetry

Join us on the last Wednesday of every month in our Gallery Bar for our popular open mic poetry evening from 7.30pm. Bring a poem to share or just sit back and enjoy the poetry of others over a beer, glass of wine, tea or coffee!

Upcoming dates; February 22nd; March 29th; April 26th; May 31st and June 28th.

 

Walkers Poetry

Once a month Stamford poets visit Walkers Bookshop on Stamford High Street to share poetry and take requests.

Saturday mornings from 10.30am on following dates; March 11th, April 15th, May 13th and June 10th.

 

Stamford Poet Laureate

Stamford is fortunate enough to have not just one but two Poet Laureates! Working alongside Stamford Town Hall and Stamford Arts Centre, the current Poet Laureate is Scott Coe and the Stamford Youth Laureate is Daniel Paice. If you would like to commission a poem, please email karen.burrows@southkestevn.gov.uk. The annual competition to find a new PL takes place this year on April 26th.
