Dir: John Carney | USA | 2025 | 98 mins
Cast | Paul Rudd, Nick Jonas, Jack Reynor, Havana Rose Liu
Paul Rudd and singer Nick Jonas are a superb pairing in John Carney’s (Once, Begin Again, Sing Street) terrific new musical comedy, a funny, moving and richly enjoyable story about music, self-respect, friendship, and the price of ambition.
When past-his-prime wedding singer Rick (Rudd) meets fading boy-band star Danny (Jonas) at a gig, the two bond over music and enjoy a late-night jam session. But when Danny turns one of Rick’s songs into the hit that reignites his career without offering a credit, Rick sets out to reclaim the recognition he believes he deserves – even if it means risking everything he cares about.
