An affectionate, very funny and bittersweet documentary Seaside Special visits the Norfolk town of Cromer as it prepares for its annual end-of-pier variety show during the summer of 2019 – just at the moment when the UK is preparing to leave the European Union.
At a time of constant friction, this is simply a terrific film that combats the polarisation of Leave and Remain while it lovingly follows the performers, public and behind the scenes team as the show takes shape and is finally presented to sell-out crowds.
