Concluding SIMFestival 2024 is a brilliant lineup of three masterpieces, weaving through nearly two centuries of classical music. The evening begins with a selection of arias from Mozart’s Opera, ‘The Magic Flute’, skilfully arranged for four violins. Following this Ligeti’s Horn Trio, a heartfelt homage to Brahms’ Trio for the same forces, creating a seamless bridge between eras. Bringing the festival to a close is the triumphant Dvorak Piano Quintet in A major.

Mozart Arias from Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute), K. 620, arr. for Four Violins
