Certain he is about to die, a world-renowned novelist (Nighy) summons his estranged sons home. But instead of seeking forgiveness for past mistakes, he reveals an unbelievable secret that brings his ex-wife (Staunton) back into his orbit. As decades of resentment, jealousy and rage threaten to spill over, this splintered family is forced to face an inevitable reckoning, for better or for worse.
