Stamford Stories Exhibition

Stamford Stories Exhibition

Local diversity reflected in a series of photographic portraits by Kingsley Singleton.

The exhibition features 16 photographic portraits of local creatives by Stamford based photographer & journalist Kingsley Singleton.

Curated by Shalini Austin and Yvette Diaz-Munoz of Stamford Diversity Group CIC ‘Stamford Stories’ will showcase the people and stories behind the arts, poetry, music and more in our community, reflecting the diversity in the local area.

The exhibition is being made possible thanks to Councillor Amanda Wheeler's South Kesteven District Council Ward Member Grant to cover printing & mounting of the photographs.

The exhibition also involves local schools in a 'Postcard Portraits' project and original artwork by street artists who will be part of a live Street Art demo at Stamford Diversity Festival on the Rec on Bank Holiday Monday 29th August.

Thanks to a Lincolnshire One Venues Re-Invent grant, the Stamford Arts Centre Gallery, Ballroom & Theatre will also form part of the wider Diversity Festival of workshops, talks, poetry and film over two weeks.

A 'family day' on Saturday 27 August welcomes artist Karen Neale to the gallery, an artist/artisan fair in the ballroom and a fusion Slavonic-rooted band in the evening.
