Come and see award-winning singer/songwriter and guitarist Elliott Morris and his band at Stamford Arts Centre while they tour in support of new album ’Something Worth Fighting For’.
Originating from Lincolnshire, Elliott Morris has gained a formidable reputation as one of the hardest-working and most sought-after artists on the acoustic scene. He honed his craft on the road, playing all across the British Isles from Orkney to Jersey, Boston to Llangrannog, Belfast to Clonakilty and has headlined shows in Germany, Holland, Ireland and Canada. He has supported some of the biggest names on the scene, including Paul Carrack, The Levellers, Ed Sheeran, Cara Dillon and Eddi Reader.
Elliott and his band perform an explosive live show - Jack Carrack’s masterful, powerhouse drumming, Henry Webster’s virtuosic, soaring violin and brother Bevan’s moody, groovy double bass lines complement Elliott's expert guitar abilities - his signature acoustic percussive technique and soulful soloing, along with his award-winning songwriting and heartfelt vocal delivery.
The band’s live set includes material from the new album (described by Morris as 'folky, bluesy, poppy…and even a bit funky and grungy'), along with some surprise genre-bending cover arrangements!
Music blog WriteWyattUK proclaimed that Elliott Morris “redefines folk...with a little John Martyn influence delivered in Seth Lakeman style” and BBC 6Music’s Tom Robinson has described him as “absurdly talented”.
Don’t miss THE ELLIOTT MORRIS BAND - live at Stamford Arts Centre!
