The Food of Love

The Food of Love

A glittering evening of Shakespearean music, verse and anecdote.

A glittering evening of Shakespearean music, verse and anecdote. This uplifting and highly entertaining show is the creation of Nigel Hess, the pianist/ composer behind Ladies in Lavender and A Christmas Overture, and also for several years, house composer to the Royal Shakespeare Company and Shakespeare’s Globe.

The performance also features actors Lesley Nicol (Mrs Patmore from Downton Abbey) and Richard Teverson (The Crown), and vocalists Michael Dore (West End star) and Eleanor Grant ("one of Britain's greatest talents").

From the Bard's most famous speeches to scandalous backstage anecdotes, and from alarming theatre reviews to sublime settings of Shakespeare's most poignant poetry, all of Will's musical world is here!
