Dir: Louis-Julien Petit | France | 2022 | 97 mins | Subtitled
Cast | Audrey Lamy, François Cluzet, Chantal Neuwirth
French stars Audrey Lamy and François Cluzet lead a fantastic cast in Louis-Julien Petit’s big-hearted, feel-good comedy with a kick of cooking-competition-show excitement.
Disgruntled sous-chef Cathy Marie (Lamy) leaves her job at a high-end gourmet restaurant, dreaming of starting her own restaurant. But when her plans don’t work out, she finds running the cafeteria at the local migrant shelter, run by Lorenzo (Cluzet) and Sabine (Chantal Neuwirth), instead.
In charge of a run-down kitchen, making food for hungry young men, Cathy at first hates the job – but before long, she realises the real value of her new role, providing key life skills to people who need them, and that she can learn something new herself too.
