The emphasis is upcycling what you might have stashed away in a drawer – bits of fabric, odd pieces of felt, cotton reels and buttons. Bring what you have along with a basic sewing kit (scissors, needles and pins).
Introduction to Patchwork – 22 Jan 10am to 12.30pm
So simple. So effective. We will explore a variety of starter projects for learning the basics of patchwork. It is surprisingly easy once you know how. Bring some small pieces of fabric and a basic sewing kit (scissors, needle, pins, thread).
ALSO LOOK OUT FOR
This is a lovely way to get your head round the art of applique (which means sewing a decorative motif on another piece of fabric). A lavender bag is our starter project today but we will also explore other ideas for some really creative makes. Bring some small pieces of fabric/felt and a basic sewing kit (scissors, needle, pins, thread).
So simple. So effective. Heralding the arrival of Easter and celebrating the beautiful spring colours that come with it we will be making a variety of hanging garlands using whatever is to hand (bits of fabric and felt) in light spring colours. A good starter project for preparing for other seasonal decorating. Bring some small pieces of fabric/felt and a basic sewing kit (scissors, needle, pins, thread).
