A satire on art and exploitation this intriguing Tunisian film centres on Ali, a young Syrian refugee who meets a famous European tattoo artist who persuades Ali to allow his back to become a canvas. Unwittingly Ali then becomes a living work of art, worth an astronomical sum on the cultural market. Yet while collectors gather at auction rooms, human rights activists are outraged. Ali knows he must get out of his predicament, but as the man who had sold his skin what choices remain open?
