The Pale Blue Eye (15)

The Pale Blue Eye (15)

Dir: Scott Cooper USA 2022 2hrs 8mins

With: Christian Bale, Gillian Anderson

At the American military academy of West Point in 1830 a cadet is found dead. But after the body arrives at the morgue, tragedy becomes savagery when it's discovered that the young man's heart has been skilfully removed. Enter local detective Augustus Landor whom the authorities hope will preserve the institution’s reputation. Yet another cadet – no less a person than Edgar Allen Poe! - teams up with Landor to uncover some secrets that neither man expected. Like many Netflix films this compelling period mystery deserves to be seen in all its glory on the big screen.
