Jack Lowden (Slow Horses), Tim Roth (Reservoir Dogs) and Koki (Touch) star in Slow West director John Maclean’s gripping period survival thriller.
1790s, Britain: Travelling across the country with her father’s samurai puppet show, Tornado (Koki) steals gold from a local gang in hopes of funding a new life for her family; but she hasn’t banked on the promise of revenge from gang leader Sugarman (Roth) and his son (Lowden). In a thrilling, adrenaline-fuelled race against time, Tornado must deploy her father’s training to avoid a violent demise, leaving a bloody trail of devastation in her wake.
Drawing on classic westerns and samurai films, with Robbie Ryan overseeing cinematography of a rugged historic Britain, Tornado is a lean and exhilarating chase thriller.
