Jazz In The Cellar Bar
Described as “world class” by Humphrey Lyttelton, guitarist Pat McCarthy leads this acclaimed quartet which features Thom Whitworth (trumpet) and Martyn Spencer (double bass), presenting a warm and melodic repertoire of choice standards such as But Not For Me, How Insensitive and Body & Soul, and even some originals. A vocalist of exceptional quality whose influences include Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Doris Day and Peggy Lee, Reilly's spellbinding performances with the Pat McCarthy Quartet have been captivating audiences across the UK.
Pat has played with some of the UK’s top musicians, including Alan Barnes, Jim Mullen, Pete King, Kenny Wheeler, Tina May, Gilad Atzmon, George Melly, Digby Fairweather, Enrico Tommaso & Dennis Rollins to name just a few.
"This is superb music that manages to pull off that difficult trick of having a broad appeal whilst still satisfying the jazz connoisseur." Gill Wilde - Jazz Promoter of the Year
