Cast | Claire Foy, Richard E. Grant, Bel Powley, Jack Farthing
Polite society has never been so savage. Golden Globe nominee Claire Foy (The Crown, First Man) and Oscar nominee Richard E. Grant (Can You Ever Forgive Me) co-star in this dark, timely satire; a madcap play on class and power.
18th century England. Amid a pox outbreak and the Jacobite uprising, Sir Chauncey Savage (Grant) and Lady Savage (Foy) are at their lowest: they despise each other, their house is falling apart, and they are loathed by polite society. Oh, and Chauncey Savage’s foot might be rotting off. Then, they receive news of a visit from high(er) ranking nobility – renewing their energy to find new outfits, polish the silver, and bring in new help to ensure the House of Savage is looking as impressive as possible.
