This relaxed, interactive 40-minute concert introduces children to chamber music through music from Souvenir de Florence by Tchaikovsky and The Circus by Turina, performed with piano, violins, violas and cellos.
With musical games, playful listening activities, and plenty of imagination, this concert offers a welcoming and informal way to enjoy live music and the concert experience. Rather than ‘dumbing down’ the music, we present fantastic chamber works in a way that invites children to explore, respond, and listen with curiosity, while being treated as thoughtful, engaged listeners.
Led by expert violinist and educator Emma Purslow, this concert is perfect for ages 4–10, though everyone is very welcome.
