A dazzling documentary record of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s move to 1970s New York and the former Beatle’s only full-length performances after leaving the band.
The One to One Concerts, featured here with remixed concert audio produced by Sean Lennon, saw Lennon accompanied by Ono, The Plastic Ono Band, Elephant’s Memory and special guests. This 16mm footage is the centrepiece of Oscar-winning director Kevin Macdonald (One Day in September, Touching the Void) and Sam Rice-Edwards’ riveting account of John and Yoko’s arrival in America, drawing on incredible archive footage capturing the couple at their creative collaborative peak and forming a riotous and evocative travelogue of 1970s New York. “Fun, fierce, full-blooded” ★★★★ The Guardian
